We give quotes and charges based on cubic metres (m3).
But what exactly is a cubic metre? A cubic metre is a unit of volume that measures space in three dimensions (height, width, and length) all combined into one cubic unit.
How to Measure the Cubic Metres of our Trucks
Measuring a cubic metre is quite simple. Imagine a cube where each side is one metre long. When you fill this cube with rubbish, you’ve got one cubic metre. It’s like stacking up boxes, and once the stack reaches a cubic metre in volume, you’ve reached the limit.
Comparing Loads
A typical ute load full of rubbish is roughly equivalent to 2 cubic meters, while a trailer load usually amounts to 3 to 4 cubic meters. A small tipper truck anywhere up to 5 or 6 cubic metres.
A wide range of prices
A rubbish removal pick-up can be different depending on the type of waste, the amount, and the location.
For example, if we’re dealing with an 8 cubic metre load of household junk located in a house’s carport, and our truck can easily access the rubbish pile, you’d pay our standard rate of $110 per cubic metre. So, in this case, the total cost of the rubbish removal job would be $880.
Additional Factors
Keep in mind that pricing can change based on other factors. If the same 8 cubic metre load is located on the third floor of an apartment block in Sydney’s Inner-West, we may require more labour hours or additional labourers. In this scenario, the total cost could vary due to the additional labour and effort required.
